The windows are the objects through which the categories of Being and Seeing are projected. And actually the poetry of a discovered object was (and is) part of this culture. The meaning of the paintings by Anna Vettori lives within this culture. Her paintings lead us to consider the object as the product of a disappearing manual ability.

The window shows the individual ability of what is handmade with the heat of the domestic environment from which it comes (the windows and their embroidered curtains,…) but at the same time the window is the means by which we can recover a minimal dimensions of that same object ( behind a picture frame or the jamb of the “window-paintings” we can see the coloured and embroidered cloth but also the wrapping paper used again naturally or symbolic objects as the string slipknot and a vase of violets which only appearently lead us to our daily life).”

“The windows are filters dividing Visible and Invisible and representing the means through which we can read the present with our eyes.
